Perseus
Digital support of processes in the pathology laboratory.
It covers the work processes for pathology.
The Perseus program records all processes carried out in the Pathology Laboratory, usually carried out by laboratory technicians. These processes are, for example, Trimming, Centrifugation, Watering, Slicing, Dyeing or Assembly, Expedition. At the same time, the program allows all recorded processes to be displayed in various formats in the form of print reports and statistics for internal or external control purposes. The program is also equipped with user records and settings of appropriate rights.
Department of Pathology.
Individual processes are set to process the following objects:
- Requisition
- Bottle (organ, material, sample)
- Cassette (block, cartridge)
- Glass (glass)
Other processing processes look similar. The succession of individual processes is controlled by the type of examination, which are:
- B – Biopsy – fixed material
- G – Gynecology – glass
- C – Cytology – puncture
- C – Cytology – glass
- B – Biopsy – consultation – analysis
- B – Biopsy – consultation – glass diagnostics
- Rediagnostics (archived sample)
- Reanalysis (archived sample)
- B – Biopsy – peroperative
- C – Cytology – urine
Then, for example, a biopsy consists of such processes:
- Trimming
- Watering
- Slicing
- Dyeing
- optional Mounting
- Expedition
Cytology looks like this
- Centrifugation
- Optional option
- Trimming
- Watering
- Slicing
- Dyeing
- Optional Mounting
- Expedition
A special case is a peroperative examination with a record of the time to achieve diagnosis. It has the following processes:
- Prepare a sample of peroperative biopsy - freezing
- Slicing in frost
- Dyeing
- Expedition
- Diagnostics with time records and the name of the doctor where the notification of the results was transmitted
- optionally continue as type B
- Biopsy – fixed material
The display of the recorded steps is either in the form of a guide or print reports with statistics.
The guide contains the following information:
- View all the steps you've taken
- Who performed the step
- When the step was performed
Print reports are e.g.:
- Sample worksheet
- Statistics of performed processes by employees
- Statistics of doctor's activities
- Aggregate statistics (for UZIS)
All listed outputs have the option of printing or output to an external file.
- Precise records of processes and their steps in the laboratory – synchronization of records and real activities
- Maximum use of barcodes
- Elimination of possible human errors in the records
- Simplifying the work of laboratory technicians
- Use for accreditation
